MMHSCT has agreed a schedule of Mandatory Training for consultants. There are items for all consultants, with additional requirements for educational supervisors and tutors.
Many aspects of Mandatory Training are covered in the Trainee induction afternoon, run on the first ednesday afternoon of February and August. The day is supplemented with a CPR training session and a Medical Education update. Please contact us if you wish to attend, stating if you need the morning, afternoon or both

Additional Training days
The Medical Education team are preparing additional 6 monthly training days to cover some mandatory training elements in more depth. These are particularly recommended as "initial" training, or for consultants who have not had a refresher for a long time.

Training for Educational Supervisors
Educational supervisors need additional training in WorkPlace Based assessments, Bullying & Harrassment, Supervision skills and Appraisal Skills. They need to attend at least one school educational event, such as the biannual school conference, or one of the Education training day.
